Child Custody

Child Custody In Pennsylvania

In matters of child custody, the Court is required by Pennsylvania law to rule in the best interests of the children.

There are two types of custody, legal and physical, and a parent who no longer resides with the other parent may seek an order establishing both types of custody either post-divorce or prior to a divorce complaint being filed, or a divorce decree entered. Custody orders are always modifiable so that the best interests of the children may be ensured throughout their minority.
